Music in the United States has reached the lowest point in history. The decline began when the jungle gyrations of Elvis Presley caused the glorious harmonies of George Gershwin and excellence of Leonard Bernstein to be ignored in favor of African inspired madness. Though a convincing argument can be made that most serious Composition after 1920 in the USA was nothing but intellectual noise, at least the fusion of Classical harmony, jazz idioms and popular tunes offered some hope for new directions in musical excellence. Sadly, the emergence of Rock and Roll glorified the most primitive elements and appealed only to the backward tribal call and response patterns that characterize the modalities of Dark Continent Savages. Despite popular misconceptions African music contributed only the drum and poly-rhythms and remains mired in the Stone Age even today. Though the intricate lyricism of Simon and Garfunkel and the polyphonic excellent of Jazz rock groups such as Blood, Sweat and Tears offered hope to the weary listener these high levels were soon abandoned as the inmates once more gained control of the American Musical asylum. It's gone down hill ever since but has sunk to phenomenal lows with the pounding penitentiary paroxysm identified as "Rap".
I rarely watch network television but was forced to the other night. While changing the channel I was stunned to see some overgrown Ubangi who appeared to have escaped from prison. He was boldly prancing around a well lit stage with three other large Negroes in the background. All were marching about in quasi-military fashion in an obvious attempt to intimidate their audience. The frenzied combination of stupid slang and jungle shouts rendered whatever lyrics they attempted to scream as intelligible as a constipated cow but the oversized savages seemed to enjoy themselves. The incredible part was the audience, composed mostly of young white kids appeared thrilled to witness these barbaric brutes. The hapless captives clapped and swayed to the primitive drums in total disregard of the glorious centuries of Western polyphony.
I wondered how Monteverdi, Palestrina, J.S. Bach, Haydn, Beethoven, Brahms, Wagner, DeBussy, Tchaikovsky, Shostakovich, Ravel or a thousand other gifted composers would react. After two minutes of this primitive madness, the tribal orgy gratefully ended. I pray that the sheriff took them back to prison.
(a) Why is garbage like this featured in such a prominent venue? Of course the answer is the Godless American liberal who cares only for filling his wallet, feeding his stomach and having an orgasm.
(b) How can an entire generation of once responsible parents stand idly by while a large group of primitive and diseased jungle jimbos fill the minds of their progeny with ignorant ghetto trash? Of course the answer is the Godless American liberal, who spend most of the day sucking on a bottle, sucking on a crack pipe or sucking on you know what.
(c) How can so many watch American Values vanish? Of course the answer is the Godless American liberal who cares only for worldly comforts and doesn't have the guts to deal with real life.
King Solomon taught that "Righteousness exalteth a nation, but Sin is a reproach to any People" (Proverbs 16:34) - why do so many American worship sin?
But don't tell the Africans about righteousness – all they know about is government welfare, selling dope and the penitentiary – a rose by any other name
Let's send ‘em back to Africa!
